1) Here is my second pitch:

2) The feedback that most stood out to me really was establishing the company as an independent company, rather than an already established cable company switching to the new model. I liked the feedback that was given about the advertisement that could exist within the new model for this cable company. I also liked the feedback about the partnerships that could exist within the company with something like Netflix or Hulu.
3) I changed the company model based on the feedback. Now the company will be an independent company that is being established on the cable company grid system, rather than an already established cable company that is switching to my model.
Thanks for the feedback.
I can see that you addressed the feedback that was given and I completely understood your idea. I had similar feedback on mine and had to make a change to explain my idea better as well. I think you did a great job on this. I think in an elevator pitch you really have to shove your idea down the audiences throat so I would say to have more energy and make sure you dont pause to make it a little better. nice post.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how you incorporated your feedback. The idea to include streaming services as part of the options involved in your product is creative. Is it that the combinations could include streaming service subscriptions? Maybe it would be a good idea to see how cable companies and networks have structured their financial models as a starting point to evolve it into a viable competitive model.
ReplyDeleteYou implemented some good changes to your idea, which I thought was impressive. That's something I can take away for myself, actually. In my second pitch, I just focused on trying to improve my speech, appearance, and confidence. I didn't really change my idea, but I probably could have. Good job. Also, nice job losing the hat and going for a collared shirt ;)
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea and you made some very good points that would appeal to cable companies. I like that it was an idea that would spark rivalry rather than just an invention altogether. I think that you could improve this pitch by either going with the flow a bit more, or rehearsing it a bit more as it was noticeable when you took pauses to read your script.
ReplyDeleteI really like your improvements and integrating Netflix into your business plan. I've always wished this was an option for cable because the current packages are terrible. Would some channels/networks cost more than others? How would you ensure a profit? Great job!
