Cable Revitalized allows individuals to choose what they want to watch on a monthly basis. This allows cable companies to stay in business and compete against other cable cutting businesses. There are a few opportunities that exist with this idea that could involve integrating other businesses with it.
Here is my elevator pitch:

This is a good idea as I don't think anyone likes paying for channels they don't watch. I have a couple critiques though that I feel may make the elevator pitch a little more effective. I think that first you need to introduce yourself. People need to know who is talking to them. Secondly, even though this is just for practice, it helps to dress up a little just to get the feel for it. Lastly, I think having a solid closer would be more effective than just abruptly stopping. Good job overall though. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a good idea for cable companies and people across the US. The only thing is there would be some companies that would suffer because of this. In the pitch I think you could have shown a little more emotion and excitement. I also agree with some of the things that Kyle mention, but it is overall a good concept.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea for cable companies, and you did a good job with the pitch itself. I wish that something like this could exist in real life because I know that out of the hundreds of channels that I have access to, I only watch a handful of them at most. I would like the ability to pick and choose the channels that I want, because it would help me save money and be happier with my purchase of said channels. Good job coming with this idea.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this could be established as an independent company, through which individual networks could offer this option as a supplement to their availability through the cable companies. Advertisers could also be a source of revenue if incorporated appropriately. I think Hulu has too many commercials for a paid service, so I would not think depending too strongly on advertising revenue would be wise, probably better to look for revenue through the cable companies, as you suggested, or the networks directly.
